MY FAVOURITES RIGHT NOW!
I can be a fickle creature at times.....you too right? Today I thought I would share with you a few of the items that get me by each day.
These are the little things that I JUST CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT....
1. DR SPILLER AZULEN CREAM : FACIAL MOISTURISER
This is a recent discovery of mine, thanks to a few glorious facial treatments at my local beautician. The cream is thicker in consistency than most and needs to be applied by patting onto the skin before blending into the face and neck. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin (like mine), the cream plays a gentle role in healing, soothing and calming the skin. I secretly wonder if the pretty blue hue of the cream also has a calming impact on me visually in a subliminal way? One of the magic ingredients is grape seed oil which compliments my foundation (see below) perfectly.
Azulen Cream is an inexpensive investment (when you compare it with previous $200 + purchases) and comes in at under $90. I also like the fact that it is exclusive to salons, which makes it feel that little bit extra special.
2. "FACE IT with HAIR FLAIR" : CREAM FOUNDATION LIGHT #2
My little compact miracle worker. This products' main feature is its AGE DEFYINGqualities. Not only do you get a flawless coverage, this foundation comes packed with
antioxidants including grape seed (as mentioned before is also a component of my moisturiser), green tea (more on this later) and pomegranate. Vitamins B & C plus a plant derived hydrating complex protect the skin and show off a youthful radiance.
The beauty of this product is that you don't even need to apply a powder after application as it has a mattifying effect all of its own.
Don't just take MY word for it though. I wasn't fully convinced about this product myself - being a devoted liquid foundation lover for many years - until my mother-in-law (now in her 70's) wore it to my house one evening. Her skin positively glowed and her facial lines were diminished. I WAS AN INSTANT CONVERT TO MY OWN PRODUCT and haven't looked back since.
3. "FACE IT with HAIR FLAIR" : LIPSTICK CLASSIC CORAL
A great PICK ME UP colour for when you need a little boost of radiance. This product glides on smoothly and will last for hours without the need for regular touch ups - great for women on the go. Your lips will also feel the benefits long after wear as the product is fortified with vitamin E.
This colour is a wonderful spring/summer choice. I have to admit this was another example of me trying this colour out on someone else and becoming an INSTANT CONVERT. Since then, every time I wear this colour, I can guarantee to get at least two compliments for it.
4. REDKEN SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER : for COLOUR TREATED HAIR
I have written about this product before...... & I STILL LOVE IT. (gee, not as fickle as I thought?)
The shampoo protects your colour from fading. Hair is protected from the elements by blocking out UVA & UVB rays. Cranberry oil maximises vibrancy of colour. Smells nice too.
The conditioner resurfaces the cuticles of the hair shaft for a smooth vibrant finish.
Don't believe me? Use this product & check the cutting room floor at your next HAIR FLAIR BRADBURY trim - the evidence of colour retention will be there before you.
5. TEA : GREEN TEA
As a mad coffee drinker I have a confession to make.....it has now been ONE WHOLE WEEK since I have consumed coffee. I blame my beautician (they always offer a green tea before treatments) & my daughter (she drinks it for clearer skin). Let me reassure you that I'm NOT off coffee forever, it's just that I haven't really craved lately since my conversion to GREEN TEA. I don't seem to feel as stodgy when I drink the tea & with the recent hot weather it just seems more "appropriate" somehow. At the moment I'm testing a variety of brands, mostly opting for the ORGANIC variety.
What are some of the things YOU can't live without? I would love for you to share them with me.
Stay tuned for MORE things I can't live without in future blogs.
