EAT IT UP

Did you know that the CONDITION of your HAIR is NOT solely determined by what you put ON it?

The quest for strong vibrant hair can be affected by what's going on INSIDE YOUR BODY.

Factors such as hormone fluctuations, smoking, poor diet, illness and medications can have an impact on the quality of your hair. The visual signs of the above causes may not be noticed immediately & therefore it can be harder to pinpoint them as the issues for your lacklustre hair.

WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT IT?

Poor diet is a good point to tackle as you can begin immediately, making small changes.

Your hair is made up of 97% PROTEIN. You need enough protein each day to replace the naturally shed hair you lose each day. Include foods in your diet such as chicken, salmon, low fat Greek yoghurt and lentils.

Good circulation to your scalp is essential to stimulate hair growth. VITAMIN C rich foods such as blueberries and spinach can help.

A lack of IRON & ZINC can actually cause HAIR LOSS. You may even notice eyelashes falling out. Try adding eggs & oysters to your weekly menu.

Natural sun protection for your hair can come in the form of Beta Carotene. Mix some sweet potato in with your usual mash for dinner.

Walnuts offer all important OMEGA 3's & COPPER. These help keep hair naturally glossy and lustrous.

#Most of the foods mentioned above offer multiple benefits & can be inserted into the other categories I have listed as well.

A balanced diet and plenty of water will contribute to your overall health too.

Good Luck. Let me know how the diet changes have worked for your hair.
